The Lock feature on the Schedule Detail window is designed to prevent inadvertent modifications of a media's schedule. Because it can be easy to make an accidental change to a schedule while viewing it, engaging the Lock feature guards against making such changes permanent.

Locked — The schedule cannot be saved while the lock is engaged. Any changes made will enable the Save button, but attempting to save while the lock is engaged will produce an alert message with a reminder that the schedule must be unlocked before changes can be made permanent. |

Unlocked — The lock feature has been disabled. Clicking the Save button immediately stores any changes. |
COMPASS "remembers" the lock status of each schedule. If the lock is engaged when the Schedule Detail window is closed or a switch is made to another media in the campaign, the lock will be engaged when that media schedule is reopened for editing.
