In some cases, it is possible to inadvertently convert a proposal to an order. Once this change has been saved and the Schedule Detail window has been closed, this change could not be reversed. The only solution was to delete the order and re-enter it, a possibly painstaking task on a very complex and lengthy schedule.
However, the resourceful programmers that developed COMPASS have provided a solution. A schedule proposal that was changed to an order can be switched back to a proposal under the following conditions:
1.The Save button on the tool bar is off (dimmed), and
2.The order has not been issued to media, and
3.The order has no revisions.
If any of these criteria are not met, the following instructions will not work.
Open the order in the Schedule Detail window. At the keyboard, press Ctrl + R (for "Restore"). COMPASS will ask if you want to proceed with the restoration. If the order has been issued to media, a notice will be displayed to reverse the issuance by first pressing Ctrl + U, then Ctrl + R to complete the process.
It should go without saying (but we'll say it anyway), this feature does not work on a schedule that has been canceled.
