Uninstalling COMPASS

COMPASS has an uninstall program included with the installation package. To remove the program from your PC, go to the Windows Control Panel and choose Programs and Features. Choose the COMPASS entry from the list, then click Uninstall.

If you are uninstalling the program temporarily, you will probably want to retain the COMPASS database. The option to keep the database will be presented during the uninstall process. If the database is to be removed as part of the uninstall, it cannot be restored unless you have taken a backup prior to the removal process.

To remove all copies of the program from one or more PCs connected via a network, uninstall COMPASS from all the remote computers first, then uninstall on the server PC.

If COMPASS is running as part of a network, the uninstall process will not remove the networked database, only the local database. The networked database must be removed manually from the C:\SQLiteningServer folder on the network host PC.

Moving COMPASS to a Different Computer

The license key for COMPASS can be transferred from one computer to another using the following steps:

1.Write down the license key if it is not available via other sources. Choose Help > License Key from the main menu to view the license key information.

2.Uninstall COMPASS from the current computer where it is running. Ensure the computer has Internet access during this step. This will allow the license key to be vacated and make that key available for installing on another computer.

3.At the new computer, install COMPASS and run it. Apply the license key from step 1 by going to Help > License COMPASS... on the program's main menu. The license key will now be assigned to the new machine.
