COMPASS Mail

COMPASS has its own email application that offers more robust features than the default email client available via Windows. COMPASS Mail is optional and can be activated (or deactivated) as desired from within Program Options. If COMPASS Mail is not enabled, the default email client will be used for all COMPASS internal email activities.

Some of the advantages of COMPASS Mail include:

Ability to work with your Internet service provider's email server (provided you have a valid email address, user name, and password).

Automatically includes any designated email attachments, including traffic scripts/audio.

Option to send an email to multiple recipients, including multiple CC and BCC recipients.

Option to include additional email recipients specified in the Media Information window.

Options to request a return receipt and/or flag email message as "Important!"

Option to send a BCC to your own email address, ensuring you have a copy of what was sent.

Option to create, save, and edit email "templates", allowing email messages with repetitive content to be quickly recalled.

Option to utilize text substitution with email templates.

Option to add and delete email attachments.
